Qatar is Booming!

 

After a visit to Doha late last year I was amazed to see the development since I was last there two years ago. Many of you will have been there, or can relate the changes to what happened here in Dubai over the years, but seemingly out of nothing, has risen a metropolis with a proper city centre! The West Bay area and The Pearl have really come into their own. At the time of our visit, the Doha Tribeca Film Festival was getting underway, as well as the Pan Asian Games, amongst other “first’s” in the events industry.

 

The Qatar National Convention is nigh on finished and successfully hosted the World Petroleum Congress, and is set to play host to a number of major regional events over the coming months, years, and decades. Other corporate and public events spaces, such as Katara Village and a range of new hotels are now open and thriving and there’s a real buzz about the place.

 

This is a place where you can definitely cement your career and play a part in the growth of a major new hub for events in the GCC. Salaries are still better than in the UAE, and the opportunity for personal and career growth is plain to see.
