A start-up event management agency, that forms part of a larger communications agency, seeks a hands-on and proactive general manager. As with any start up role you will need to be a strong and experienced all-rounder who is hard working and determined. You will have worked at senior level for at least 5 years in a reputable events agency in the Middle East, and be able to strategise, develop and implement processes and procedures across operations, sales, marketing and business management. Creative in your approach you will also be highly client facing, able to interpret a brief, pitch a creative and compelling concept and budget, plan and deliver a range of government and corporate events. Sales driven and target oriented you will work to set goals and look at performance indicators throughout the process. and report back to the board. With strong knowledge of the market and trends, you will be competent to create a strong brand, write a digital marketing plan, website and manage the social media campaigns for the company. You will have strong business administration skills in order to acquire all necessary licenses, build strong relationships and negotiate with partners. A strong manager and leader you will be able to build a like-minded and dynamic team and manage them through the growth phase and beyond. This is not a big and demanding role, but one that carries great rewards for the successful applicant.
